Let's face it: when you get heartburn symptoms (especially if it interferes with your sleep), you start hunting all over the web for possible remedies. (Out of desperation, I've tried some wacky ones.) I came across several recommendations for almonds (yes, the nuts) from people who had had success dealing with heartburn flare ups by eating a handful of almonds. I tried it without much success, but hey, it might work for you. Here are a couple links to sites where people swore by them:
First of all I dont see how you can eat anything while having heartburn. I can barely get water down my "throat" is so tight. Second watch ouch because almonds actually gives me heartburn and is the cause of the first couple times i ever experienced the hellish pain.

Im 7 weeks pregnant and I don't know why but I've been having heartburn and indigestion this early in my pregnancy.
I tried almonds and they worked like a charm! I'm so thankful I found this remedy because I felt ill 24/7 and couldn't do anything.
